Supplies Repurposed, Smiles Shared: A San Francisco Bay Area Dental Delivery

On July 18th, MedCycle Network made another Dock-to-Dock delivery, this time of dental supplies, uniting three trusted local clinics in a hyperlocal act of generosity and impact.

From Ravenswood Family Health Network  in East Palo Alto to Clinic by the Bay in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood and Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) in the Mission District, this delivery exemplified what makes MedCycle Network’s model efficient and impactful—neighbors helping neighbors, supplies staying in the community, and moving at the speed of trust.

From Receiving to Giving: Ravenswood’s Ongoing Commitment

Earlier this year, Ravenswood received 3,000 isolation gowns through MedCycle Network to support their busy care teams. But this month, they stepped into a new role: donor.

With shelf space freed up and supplies to share, Ravenswood contributed a generous selection of high-quality surplus dental supplies—including sutures, sterile dental sponges, and X-ray sleeves. These are vital clinical supplies used every day to treat pain, prevent infection, and deliver safe, compassionate care.

This act of reciprocity marks an important step in MedCycle Network’s vision: a circular ecosystem of care where clinics can receive and donate high-quality surplus medical supplies to advance their missions.

Clinic by the Bay: A Delivery That Hits Home

The first stop on the delivery route was Clinic by the Bay, a volunteer-powered clinic committed to providing free, high-quality care to uninsured adults. Dental services are a growing need among their patients, and having the right supplies on hand makes all the difference.

Donated supplies like these help us focus more on care and less on cost. For our uninsured patients, every item delivered reduces a barrier to timely, compassionate treatment. We’re proud to be part of a network that believes in actionable sustainability, where generosity translates directly into better health for our community.” — Katelyn McMeekin-Jackson, Executive Director, Clinic by the Bay

Mission Neighborhood Health Center: Sustaining Trusted Community Care

From there, the dental supplies continued to Mission Neighborhood Health Center, where culturally grounded care has supported San Francisco’s Latinx and immigrant communities for over 50 years. MNHC provides integrated medical and dental services, always prioritizing dignity and trust.

Boxes of dental sponges and protective supplies were warmly received by their dental care teams, who serve hundreds of patients each week, many of whom are uninsured or underinsured.

Thanks to partners like MedCycle Network, we’re able to continue our mission of improving oral health and providing compassionate care to those in need. Your contribution not only supports our clinical efforts but also reminds our team and patients alike that we are not alone in this work.” Farzana Poyan, DDS, Dental Director, Mission Neighborhood Health Center

A Model Built for Moments Like This

This Dock-to-Dock delivery didn’t require a warehouse or months of planning. It simply required coordination, compassion, and a commitment to keep care local.

It’s part of MedCycle Network’s growing Dock to Dock initiative—where surplus supplies move from loading docks or clinic storage rooms directly to community clinics. No excess, no delay. Just what’s needed, delivered with care.

“We’re not just moving supplies—we’re building a smarter, more compassionate system.Ernesto Olivares, COO & Co-Founder, MedCycle Network
