Peninsula Healthcare Connections Made
Just across the street from the Stanford University stadium, a dedicated team works together to meet critical needs—quietly, urgently, and with deep compassion. Peninsula Healthcare Connection (PHC), located in downtown Palo Alto, offers integrated healthcare and case management to adults experiencing homelessness or facing extreme financial hardship.
MedCycle Network proudly delivered a much-needed donation of surplus medical supplies—gloves, exam table paper, and other essential items—directly to PHC’s front door.
It couldn’t have come at a better time.
“We had just run out of exam paper that morning,” the clinic manager shared. “And there it was, in your delivery, thank you.”
This kind of impact is exactly why MedCycle Network exists—to make sure high-quality medical surplus are redistributed in to the hands of providers serving the people who need it most.
A Match Made for Impact
This delivery was made possible by the generous donations of surplus supplies from El Camino Health in nearby Mountain View. Through our ongoing partnership, MedCycle Network collects surplus medical supplies directly from their facility and redistributes only what is needed—exactly when and where it's needed. It’s a smart, efficient, zero-waste model that strengthens both environmental sustainability and community health.
And it’s working.
At PHC, which serves some of the most vulnerable residents in Santa Clara County, every box of gloves, every roll of exam table paper, every single supply makes a tangible difference. It saves dollars, yes—but more importantly, it safeguards dignity and strengthens care.
"With already limited resources, now our clinic also has to worry about funding being slashed. Every dollar saved is another resource provided for our patients. Your donations have helped us help many more!" Andrew Navarro, Associate Director of Clinic and Outreach Programs
Looking Ahead: A New Clinic and New Opportunities
PHC isn’t slowing down. In fact, they’re planning to expand—with a brand-new clinic opening next year. MedCycle Network is already working with their team to identify high-need items in advance, ensuring the new facility opens its doors stocked, supported, and ready to serve patients.
This forward-thinking partnership ensures that surplus materials from hospitals like El Camino Health continue to live another life—this time, improving lives less than 10 miles away.
What This Means—for All of Us
There’s something powerful about this model. It proves that we don’t need to look far to make a difference. That healthcare equity and environmental sustainability don’t have to be competing priorities. That with the right partners and logistics, surplus becomes support.
Deliveries like this one to Peninsula Healthcare Connection remind us that our healthcare system partners can redirect surplus through our hyperlocal model. It can support access, neighborhood by neighborhood.
And it’s just the beginning.
