Expanding Access, One Delivery at a Time: MedCycle Network & Axis Community Health
In the heart of Pleasanton, where neighborhoods bustle with families and long-standing traditions, Axis Community Health (ACH) stands as a vital resource for thousands who might otherwise go without care. Axis’s dedicated teams serve more than 15,000 people, offering comprehensive services from pediatrics to geriatrics, mental health to nutrition, a true community lifeline.
Last month, MedCycle Network expanded our reach into the Tri-Valley, deepening our partnership with Axis Community Health through two meaningful deliveries of high-quality surplus medical supplies. These donated high-quality supplies included crutches, walkers, stethoscopes, face shields, and bonnets—each item matched to the needs Axis identified for their patients.
A Model Built for Community Impact
What makes these deliveries so powerful is the way they reflect our mission: taking surplus medical supplies generously donated by Bay Area hospitals and directing them exactly where they’re needed, when they’re needed. It’s an approach that prioritizes both environmental sustainability and healthcare equity.
With Axis Community Health’s Livermore dental clinic currently expanding, the timing couldn’t have been better. The supplies from MedCycle Network are helping their care teams deliver quality, accessible services to Tri-Valley residents—supporting healing, recovery, and dignity.
Stronger Together: Collaboration for a Healthier Tri-Valley
“Building strong collaborations with organizations like MedCycle Network helps ensure our community health centers have access to the tools and equipment they need to help our communities heal, recover, and thrive. When we work together, we close gaps in care and expand equitable access to healthcare to those who need it most.” Andie Martinez Patterson, CEO, Alameda Health Consortium
At MedCycle Network, we believe the best solutions are local. Our deliveries to Axis Community Health—like those we’ve made to partners across San Francisco, Marin, and the Peninsula—demonstrate the potential of a hyperlocal, zero-waste model to improve lives and protect the planet.
Looking Forward: Growing a Regional Network
This is just the beginning. As we continue to expand throughout the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, each new delivery is a step toward a more resilient, equitable healthcare system—one where surplus medical supplies help support our neighbors.
By keeping resources in the community, MedCycle Network is not just offsetting clinic budgets—we’re helping providers reinvest in patient care, reduce environmental impact, and support a safety net that is as strong as the communities it serves.
