Answering the Call: MedCycle Network Donates Surgical Supplies to Nova Ukraine
When a warehouse full of medical supplies is destroyed overnight, the ripple effects reach all the way to the front lines of care. That's exactly what happened to Nova Ukraine, one of the most active nonprofit organizations delivering aid and services directly to Ukrainian civilians and communities in the midst of an ongoing conflict, and it's why MedCycle Network stepped up once again.
A Warehouse Gone, A Need Renewed
Nova Ukraine recently suffered a devastating blow when one of their storage warehouses was destroyed in a bombing. The facility housed critical medical and surgical supplies intended for distribution to hospitals, clinics, and first responders across Ukraine. In an instant, months of carefully gathered inventory was gone and the need became even more urgent.
“When our warehouse was destroyed, we lost supplies, months of preparation, and the promise of care for thousands of people. Support from partners like MedCycle Network reminds us that Ukraine is not facing this alone. These medical and surgical supplies will reach patients so they will have access to care." Michael Khain, Nova Ukraine
MedCycle Network Responds
When we learned what had happened, the answer was clear.
We are proud to share that MedCycle Network has made a significant donation of medical and surgical supplies to Nova Ukraine to help address the gap left by this loss. Our donation includes items essential to patient care and surgical response, the kind of supplies that make the difference between life and death when healthcare infrastructure is strained to its limits. Donated items included surgical gowns, pads, and gauze as well as catheters, syringes and needles. All requested by Nova Ukraine’s team.
This is not our first time working with Nova Ukraine. Last year, we made a similar donation that you can see on our LinkedIn post from 2025. The response was overwhelming, and the impact was real. This year, with the stakes even higher, we knew we had to act again. This donation included 38 boxes full of high-quality items valued at over $8,300 to provide healthcare.
"This is exactly why MedCycle Network exists. Surplus supplies sitting in a storage room in the U.S. can mean the difference between life and death in a Ukrainian hospital. Our partnership with Nova Ukraine is a powerful example of what happens when the healthcare community chooses to act, and we're honored to stand with them again." Andy Pines, Board Chair & Co-Founder, MedCycle Network
Why Nova Ukraine
Nova Ukraine is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization founded in 2014 that provides humanitarian aid and services, and raises awareness about Ukraine in the United States and globally. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Nova Ukraine has delivered critical assistance to millions of Ukrainians, supporting medical institutions, civilian infrastructure, displaced families, and community-led recovery efforts.Their transparency, operational reach, and commitment to accountability make them an ideal partner for donations of this kind.
Medical and surgical supplies, from wound care materials to sterile instruments, are among the most critical needs they work to fulfill. These are not items easily purchased locally in a conflict zone, and they are not items that can wait.
MedCycle Network’s Mission in Action
At MedCycle Network, our mission is to repurpose medical surplus by redirecting them to where they are truly needed. Ukraine represents exactly that calling: a place where supplies that might otherwise go unused in the United States can directly save lives.
We are grateful to our network of hospital partners, donors, and volunteers who make donations like this possible. Every item that passes through our hands carries with it the potential to restore health, ease suffering, and give medical professionals the tools they need to do their work.
